A warm welcome to Godrevy View Apartments in Carbis Bay, gateway to St Ives.

St Ives is a quintessential Cornish fishing town and now a leading tourist destination of the West Country if not, arguably, the whole country. It is defined by it's quaint cobbled streets, which are adorned by eclectic boutiques, shops and art galleries, not least the Tate Gallery and Barbara Hepworth Museum. St Ives enjoys a host of wonderful, golden sandy beaches which are ideal for families, along with Porthmeor beach, a magnet for surfers!

Carbis Bay rests on the main road through to St Ives. There is a bus service into St Ives along with a train stop on the service between Penzance and St Ives. Carbis Bay enjoys it's own golden sandy beach and there are some delightful off road walks from Carbis Bay to St Ives which boast breathtaking views, at various points, of the surrounding areas including St Ives itself.

Facilities

The apartment is accessed from a small communal lobby area servicing all the apartments. On entering Godrevy View apartment, there is a small entrance hall for storing coats, shoes and other accessories. Thereafter, you are greeted into a bright, spacious open plan area hosting a spiral staircase leading to the lower ground floor. The apartment is carpeted throughout.

The living area comprises an open plan lounge, dining and kitchen areas and there are double French doors which open out on to a decked balcony. There is a comfortable five seater, brown leather corner sofa with recliner units at each end and an additional cream recliner chair with foot stool. A large contemporary mirror creates additional space and light to the living area and there is a reclaimed wood coffee table and oak cabinet which hosts the Plasma TV, DVD player and games. The apartment is tastefully decorated with seaside themes including pictures from local artists and photographers.

The dining area is situated adjacent to the kitchen and lounge area and provides a good sized round oak dining table which comfortably accommodates six people with its six matching oak and leather cushioned chairs.

The kitchen is tastefully presented with panelled maple units and a glass breakfast bar, beautifully lit by two hanging feature lights, with two bar stools. The kitchen boasts integrated Neff appliances comprising microwave, oven and induction hob with extractor hood suspended above. Plenty of storage accommodates an abundant array of crockery, glassware, utensils and cooking equipment, as well as storage containers and tableware. Separate integrated Neff fridge and freezer are installed along with a Neff dishwasher.

The master bedroom, located on the lower ground floor, is a delightful, bright room with double French doors opening out on to the patio. It hosts an oak double bed with matching oak furniture consisting of bedside tables shelving unit and "his and hers" oak mirrored built in wardrobes. A large mirror over the bed provides extra light along with two matching glass reading lamps and a hairdryer. A wall mounted LCD Freeview television with integrated DVD is provided for entertainment.

The en-suite to the master bedroom is fully tiled in Romanesque style with an attractive and unusual curved shower tiled with small mosaics. The suite is Villeroy and Boch comprising a wall hung toilet and wash basin. There is a chrome heated towel rail and a vanity mirror with light and electric shaver point. A bath mat, bath towels and hand towels are all provided.

The twin bedroom, located on the ground floor to the front of the property, lies between the hall and the family bathroom. It is a very bright and airy room, decorated in seaside themes with twin oak beds, one with an additional pull out storer bed. There is a large, matching oak bedside cabinet and wardrobe, contemporary table lamp and wall mounted LCD Freeview television with integrated DVD. Quality bed linen and towels are provided and a complimentary fold up bed is available with spare bedding for any adhoc stay overs!

The family bathroom is also tiled in Romanesque style, again with a white Villeroy and Boch bathroom suite comprising a double end bath with overhead shower, wall hung toilet and wash basin with vanity mirror above incorporating a light and electric shaver point. A wall mounted chrome heated towel rail is located at the end of the bath.

On the lower ground floor, accessed by an attractive spiral staircase, a further living area provides for a quiet area in which to sit and read or, for the conscientious, work or write post cards. There is a reading lamp, full length mirror and double French doors lead out on to the rear patio providing access to the terraced garden.

On the lower ground floor, there is a utility room which offers a washing machine, tumble dryer, sink, iron and ironing board, clothes horse and hoover.

Although part of a block of four properties the garden is private to this apartment. The rear garden is accessed from the lower ground floor living area or the master bedroom suite, each via double French doors leading to a paved patio area with a bistro table and chair set. Steps go up to the landscaped, terraced garden area, which is gravelled and laid with two large decked areas interconnected by decked walkways. The garden is well accommodated with a large round table, six chairs and parasol, an external shower (not heated) for washing down surf boards and wet suits and there are both a gas and charcoal barbeque. The garden is tropically themed with, amongst others, a variety of bamboos and phoenix palms. Coloured lights are strategically placed around the garden, along with a mirrored water feature, for that extra bit of atmosphere.
